Lowbury construction have been on-site working on numerous projects at Flintshire Bridge since 2013 to-date 2018.
Project scope was to clear the existing land of underground obstructions, in particular 2000m3 of heavily reinforced concrete, remove unsuitable surface material and form the main future works compound and formation by moving approx. 250,000m3 of material around to the required areas of site, compacting the material using an dynamic compacting machine and subsequently testing the compaction. The site had trace elements of asbestos and as such air monitoring was continually check.
Formation of new contractors car park which involved earthworks, kerbing, surfacing and line marking • New surface water mains brought onto site • Foul drainage associated with the new welfare and office facility • The enabling works were undertaken successfully prior to the commencement of the main contractor
We are currently back on site undertaking finishing and demobilization works which includes foundation bases in the live substation, grouting, surfacing, fencing, structural steelwork, cladding
The first phased project consisted of major site establishment & preparation works.
